West Kent Team
If you live in one of the following areas, the West Kent Team can help you:
- Medway
- Dartford, Gravesend and Swanley
- Maidstone
- South West Kent
We work with people between 14 and 35 years old who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis, and who have been experiencing symptoms for less than three years.
We offer advice and carry out assessments and can offer support for up to three years.
Assessments
Assessments and interventions are provided by Care coordinators, who may be Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists or Social Workers. We also have a part time psychologist.
Support Time and Recovery Workers are a vital part of the team and they assist young people with ordinary practical activities to help their recovery.

You can call us direct – you do not need to be referred by your GP. We can also take referrals from other health services, friends and family.
We can advise you about how mental health problems can be identified early and how our service can help.
Monday to Friday:
For routine appointments the service is available from 8.00am to 8.00pm.
Duty Service
We offer Duty Service from 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, which anyone can call for advice or to make a referral.
