Opening hours
We provide support at home 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Eligibility criteria
We help service users who are experiencing mental health crisis whom without our input/support would require hospital admission.
We work with service users from 16 years old.
Referral procedure
If you are known to mental health services, please contact your local Community Mental Health Team during working hours (Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm). Out of hours, please contact the Crisis Team direct.
If you are not known to mental health services you would need to contact your GP.
Out of hours referrals and service users
Out of Hours (evenings, weekends and bank holidays) referrals to the North East Kent Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHT) may be made by GPs, Police, Ambulance Service, Social Services Out of Hours Team, Accident and Emergency Liaison Service, Mental Health Matters freephone helpline which is open 24 hours a day ( tel: 0800 107 0160), NHS Direct or Mental Health Inpatient Services.
All service users and carers from north east Kent (Canterbury and Thanet) who are receiving enhanced care can self-refer to the North East Kent Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team. This is a pager service and the number is 07699 746208.
Please leave your name and number. We will respond within 30 minutes and agree an appropriate response with you. This may be a crisis response or referral onto the locality Community Mental Health Team the following day.
Appointments
There is no appointment service.
All patients once referred to us are seen and treated in their own homes. Contact can be made by a patient or carer (only whilst under the care of the CRHT Team) through a pager.
