Collaborating to develop mental health research in Kent

28 May 2019 from 9.00am until 5.00pm

Research plays an integral role in enhancing our understanding and our care services. This event aims to improve research in our region for everyone involved – service users, KMPT staff and academics.

The morning session will be made up of panel discussions and talks which will bring together speakers from organisations around Kent to address:

  • How to carry out clinical research on a practical level.
  • How we can work together to get research ideas past the thinking stage and produce high quality research in Kent.

The afternoon collaboration workshops will give everyone the chance to break off into topics of interest and to develop research ideas.

You will need to register to attend one of the following:

  • Physical health and wellbeing: exploring potential research questions around physical and mental health for service users and staff.
  • Organic and neurodevelopmental disorders: exploring potential research questions in cognitive psychology, neuropsychiatry, neuropsychology and mental health and learning disabilities.
  • Dementia: exploring potential questions concerning dementia.
  • Mother and Infant Mental Health: exploring potential research questions concerning mother and infant mental health.
  • Enduring mental health conditions: exploring potential research questions around mood disorders, psychosis and forensic mental health.
