Trust shortlisted for two prestigious national awards

Professor Catherine Kinane, Executive Medical Director has been shortlisted in the ‘Psychiatrist of the Year’ category and our Peer Supported Open Dialogue Service has also been shortlisted in the ‘Psychiatric Team of the Year: Working-age Adults’ category in the Royal College of Psychiatry (RCPsych) Awards 2018.

The RCPsych Awards mark the highest level of achievement in psychiatry. This year’s awards have 17 categories, including awards for psychiatrists of all grades, as well as for medical students, foundation doctors and awards to recognise the work being done by teams working in mental health care. The Peer Supported Open Dialogue Service has also been shortlisted in this year’s National Positive Practice in Mental Health Awards 2018 in the ‘Crisis and Acute Mental Healthcare’ category. This award is supported by NHS England.
