Thousands of young people have the opportunity to find out about the range and variety of apprenticeships available to them in the NHS at a series of free events this year across England.

Many of the events coincide with National Apprenticeship Week (6-10 March), when the spotlight falls on the opportunities available from a range of employers to progress careers through training and practical experience in work.

Health Education England (HEE), which promotes apprenticeships in England’s NHS, will be on hand to offer advice and information at the following events:

National Apprenticeship Show: Sandown Park, Kent on 6-7 March
National Apprenticeship Event at the ICC Birmingham on 8 March
National Apprenticeship Show at MK Arena, Milton Keynes on 13-14 March
National Apprenticeship Show at Westpoint, Exeter on 3-4 May
National Apprenticeship Show at Yorkshire Event Centre, Harrogate on 21-22 September

The NHS is one of the most extensive providers of apprenticeships for people aged 16 and over, with more than 150 different roles available. As the country’s largest employer the NHS offers the widest variety of apprenticeships in patient-facing and supporting roles including trades, engineering, finance, management and pharmacy.
