Innovative work

Innovation is one of our core values and that is demonstrated in some of our award winning
teams:

  • Trailblazing work in the criminal justice system, a liaison and diversion service designed to support people out of custody for good, underpinned by bespoke
    technology
  • Our mother and baby unit, designed by mums with lived experience, helping to support fellow mums living with mental ill health, their baby and family
  • The vocational rehabilitation team, recognising routine and belonging as a way back to wellness, working with employers to offer hope after illness
  • The Kent and Medway Recovery and Wellbeing College offers educational courses to support mental, physical and emotional wellbeing in shared learning environments in the community
  • Our Open Dialogue service puts the patient at the centre after their first instance of psychosis with meetings involving both family and professionals
  • COVID has led us to operate differently and now home working and video call appointments will become part of our day-to-day going forward where they are making a difference to staff and patients.
Endless opportunities

There are exciting times ahead as the Kent and Medway Medical School is set to open, a collaboration between Canterbury Christ Church University and the University of Kent with KMPT one of the NHS partners, inspiring the next generation of medical professionals.
