Carers Week, 5-11 June

Date added: 02 June 2023

We’re marking Carers Week from 5-11 June with a programme of virtual information sessions and community events and activities around the county.

Join our carer support teams and lived experience carers and click here to find out what's going on near you.

The national annual awareness campaign celebrates and recognises the vital contribution made by the UK's 5.7 million carers.

You’ll be able to find out about what local support is available and ask all the questions you want in a safe and relaxed environment.

Don’t forget to sign the KMPT carers’ pledge (on the day) to recognise carers for the difficulties they may experience, to respect them for all they do, to work with them in partnership and to support and promote better inclusion, and raise awareness amongst colleagues.

Every year, charities, organisations and individuals join together to show support for the millions of unpaid carers in across the UK – and to spread the word about the challenges they face throughout the year and what needs to be done to improve their daily lives.

Carers Week aims to raise awareness of caring and help people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
