Resident doctors' strike action

Date added: 23 July 2025
Last updated: 23 July 2025

The British Medical Association has announced that resident doctors will take part in a 5-day strike from 6.59am on Friday 25 July to 6.59am on Tuesday 30 July.

We expect there will be minimal disruption to our services and our focus is to make sure we continue to provide access to our mental health services during this period.

However, as we will not know what the full impact to our services will be until the strike begins.

We would like to assure you that we have contingency plans in place to support you in accessing the care and services you need.

If your appointment is affected by the strike on any of the days, you will be contacted in advance, and your appointment will be rescheduled as quickly as possible.

If you do not hear from us, please attend any appointments that you have as normal.

We hope that the industrial dispute is resolved as soon as possible, but apologise in the meantime for any disruption it may cause.
