Memorybilia is an active group for people with a diagnosis of dementia passionately working towards a dementia friendly community in Maidstone and Medway.

Memorybilia, Kent and Medway Partnership Trust (KMPT) and the Alzheimer’s Society are striving to improve the quality of services provided to people living with dementia. We, as a group, work to help improve the quality of life of those living with dementia both locally and nationally.

By getting involved, you can also help raise the standards of services across Kent.

Memorybilia’s working goals for 2019 include:

  • continuing to engage with the local community to identify changes that others living with dementia wish to see
  • spreading awareness of the services available
  • inviting a psychiatrist from the Local services, MSNAP and the Royal College of Psychiatry to Memorybilia to discuss the memory pathway.
  • increasing the amount of service user involvement in the post-diagnostic groups run by the trust
  • maintaining regular contact with other Kent service involvement groups

Memorybilia’s members aim to improve the NHS by:

  • assisting with staff training and interviews
  • evaluating memory services
  • commenting on plans for future service developments.
