KMPT Awards - open for nominations now!

Date: 25 January 2017

Awards programme

Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT) has launched their 2017 Awards today (25 January).

The contribution of our outstanding staff, volunteers, carers, families and service users at KMPT will be celebrated at a glittering awards ceremony on 18 May, the date for this year’s annual awards celebrations.

Helen Greatorex, Chief Executive said: “This is one of the most inspiring and exciting times of year in the Trust. We know that every hour of every day KMPT staff are delivering great services, we know too that often, our staff go well beyond the extra mile. Our annual awards showcase and celebrate the very best of KMPT, across all services. This year we have twelve categories, making it easier than ever to nominate.

“Having just been told by the Care Quality Commission how impressed they were by our fabulous staff and #kmptproud campaign this is the time to really step it up and get involved. If you have never made a nomination before, make this the year you do !”

All finalists will be invited to join what will be a truly glittering awards and celebration event at the Mercure Hotel, Maidstone.

In 2016, we were delighted to also present two special awards. The first went to support worker Brenda Brown in recognition of her contribution to ending a six hour siege and helping a very distressed man get help he needed. Brenda works with our mental health triage team based at Kent Police’s Force Control Centre. Our second special award went to James Martin who was nominated by his colleagues from the Early Intervention Service (EIS). James sadly died in 2016 following a short term illness. Jo, the mother of a service user who James helped within the EIS, wrote a heart rending tribute which was read out at the ceremony by Trust volunteer Dawn Hyde.

You have until 31 March to submit your nomination. All those who are shortlisted will be invited to attend the awards ceremony.

{Note 31 March - Nominations are now closed.}
