Newhaven Lodge

Newhaven Lodge is an open rehabilitation unit to support people with severe and enduring mental ill health, such as schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, depression and other long term mental health conditions.

Our aim is to implement the Recovery Model and Tidal Model in every aspect of our engagement with our service users, working together to achieve a shared goal in holistically optimising their wellbeing. We hope to support our service users in a way that means that they can fully engage in life, taking ownership of their experiences by building resilience.

Protecting our patients

When visiting any of our inpatient wards you must wash your hands, follow our 2m social distancing policy and wear a face covering  where required to do so.

Wards may insist upon other individual arrangements to help protect you during your visit. We advise for all visitors to contact the ward staff ahead of their visit to check for further guidance.

Further information can be found on our website here

Arrangements for under 16s to visit

Visitors under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times whilst visiting the unit. These must be pre-arranged with the nursing staff, as at times the environment may not be suitable for children.

What can I bring in?

Visitors are discouraged from bringing pets onto the unit and will be expected to adhere to relevant policies. If you have any queries around items you wish to bring in, please contact the ward before you visit.
