PREMS (Patient Reported Experience Measure)

An essential part of our service is to ensure that we give our service users the best treatment we can.

So what we are looking for is someone who can join our Community Mental Health Teams in East Kent.

Once a week (there is some flexibility on this, so we should be able to work around your availability) you will visit the local community mental health centre.  You will telephone our patients and  encourage them to complete a patient experience form (we call it a PREM!) about their experiences of being a patient with KMPT.  We do this so we can review our services and improve our care – so your help will directly affect the treatment our patients receive.

You will need to be caring, patient, non-judgemental, and sympathetic to those with a mental health condition.

Book trolley volunteer (Canterbury)

This will be once a week and you will be expected to ensure the trolley is stocked with a good variety of books, keep a record of what books are where, engage with patients to encourage them to read and to feedback to us if patients have any specific reading requirements.

You need to be a friendly person, chatty and encouraging. You don’t need any great literary knowledge, just a willingness to help people with a friendly smile.

Webb’s Garden Sales Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers to assist Webb’s garden horticultural volunteers with preparing produce for sales and helping on the produce stall selling seasonal vegetables and plant to staff, patients and the public.

You need to be a friendly person, chatty, encouraging and enjoy sales.  You don’t need any great horticultural knowledge, just a willingness to help people with a friendly smile and support selling produce grown in the garden.
