Faith Volunteer

As a Faith Volunteer you will produce a monthly multi-faith poster which will be circulated to all wards across the trust. This is also a unique opportunity to further develop the role with regards to faith events and activities to support the wards/patients. This is a virtual role but it can also be based at Canterbury, Maidstone or Dartford.

Pamper Volunteer - Mother & Baby Unit – Dartford

We are looking for an empathetic, non- judgemental and caring volunteer with appropriate qualifications in beauty treatments (or working towards them) or provable career record in suitable field.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with staff and patients at our Mother & Baby Unit in Dartford. You will be carrying out beauty treatments for our patients and be supported by ward staff whilst carrying out your duties.

Admin and Reception Volunteer - The Mother and Baby Unit

As the Admin and Reception Volunteer, you will be part of a small and dynamic team. You will be providing administrative support to our mother and baby unit. This is a unique volunteering opportunity to be part of a specialist in patient unit. Mothers are admitted with their babies and receive specialist perinatal mental health care and treatment from our specialist team. Our unit has been designed by mums, for mums and we have, as part of the multi professional team, mums with lived experience.

Woodwork Volunteer (Dartford)

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic woodwork volunteer to hold woodworking workshops for our patients, using the variety of tools available at our workshop. This is a unique role where you have the opportunity to lead, be creative and use your skills to support our patients to create new items and learn basic woodworking skills. You will be able to plan and lead activities to produce items using a range of woodworking skills

Musician Volunteer (Dartford)

We are looking for a friendly volunteer to share their musical skills with the patients at the Jasmine Centre, Dartford. To play music (any instrument, we also have an electric piano on site) so that patients can listen and benefit from positive stimulation.

Research shows that live music heals. Music can help people feel relaxed and confident, relieving frustration, stress and isolation. It brings back memories and helps create new ones.

Mother and baby yoga volunteer (Dartford)

The Mother and Baby Unit at our Dartford site are looking for a dedicated volunteer to assist staff the with planning and facilitating of a mother and baby yoga class, and to ensure that patients benefit from their experience within the Mother and Baby Unit.

If you have a yoga qualification, along with relevant experience, and would like to make a difference to our patients and their babies lives, we would love to hear from you!

Art group co-facilitator (Dartford)

You will be helping staff prepare for the session, co-facilitating the group with the art psychotherapist, and help clear up afterwards.

You will not be on your own with patients and there will always be staff present who will be responsible for the activity. This role would suit an individual who is looking to gain experience in psychotherapy, and who also has a keen interest in art.
