Help shape the future of local health and care in west Kent

Date: 29 August 2017
WK listening events

Local people are being invited to meetings held by West Kent Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to discuss plans to improve local health and care in west Kent.

There will be a panel of experts from social care, local authorities, public health and mental health working with us to have an inclusive and productive discussion. The events will give people a chance to

  • hear about the plans for local care across west Kent and how services will be distributed and provided differently in the future, with more care being provided by GP practices and a wider teams of professionals
  • understand how GP practices are planning on working together across local areas and what difference it will make to patients
  • hear about plans to extend opening hours of GP practices and the ways of accessing care, such as phone consultations
  • hear about improvements to NHS111 and to urgent care
  • describe the outcomes they want for their community, the benefits they see or raise any concerns they have giving detailed feedback on what is presented.

There will also be information about the wider plans for transforming health and social care services across Kent and Medway as part of the Kent and Medway Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP).

The events are free but advance booking is required on nelcsu. engagement.@nhs.net
