Our Services

We provide a number of different mental health services to people aged over 14 living in Kent and Medway. Our services are more specialised than services provided by your GP. Most of our mental health services are more provided through:

  • East Kent Pharmacy Service

    Pharmacy Services are responsible for medicines management. They provide advice to Board, Executive Team and Clinicians on the use of medicines and provides input to risk management and clinical governance. They are a key interface with primary care organisations.

  • Electro-convulsive Therapy Service

    Electro-convulsive Therapy (ECT) is the administration of a mild, controlled current of electricity through the brain which causes a seizure or fit.

  • Emmetts-Bedgebury (male) Kent Forensic Psychiatry Care Group

    Emmetts ward specialises in the assessment and treatment of adults with complex mental health needs who require care in a medium secure setting as a response to offending and/or challenging behaviour.

  • Environmental Control Service

    This service provides electronic assistive technology equipment, on loan, to severely disabled people in East Sussex, Kent and South East London to enable them to live more independently in their homes.

  • Ethelbert Road Rehabilitation Service

    Davidson is a ten bed mixed gender high dependency inpatient unit. It offers rehabilitative care to individuals with complex mental health issues in a welcoming, safe environment.

  • Fern Ward (Canterbury Acute Admissions Ward)

    We are a female only acute admission ward and provide care to adults age 18 to 65 years experiencing mental health difficulties.

  • Forensic Mental Health Care Group

    The Kent Forensic Psychiatry Service (KFPS) provides multidisciplinary psychiatric assessment and treatment for mentally disordered offenders and for patients who are considered to pose a serious risk to others.

  • Foxglove Ward (Canterbury Acute Admissions Ward)

    We are a mixed sex acute admission ward and provide care to adults age 17 to 65 years experiencing mental health difficulties.

  • Frank Lloyd Unit

    40 bed continuing care ward for people with a diagnosis of dementia and associated needs.

  • Gravesend Community Neuro-Rehabilitation Team

    The service is for people whose primary presenting clinical need is their neurological condition and associated psychological recovery.
